PREFECTS & STUDENT REPRESENTATIVE COUNCIL (SRC)

Every year, students elect a body of prefects from among a number of students pre-vetted by the school administration on the basis of certain important guidelines.  Each prefect is charged with running a specific department of school life e.g. dining hall, library, compound etc.

Prefectorial roles give the lucky students an all important leadership training. The prefectorial body is led by the School Prefect.

The Student’s Representative Council (SRC), is the mouthpiece of the general student body at the local as well as  regional front. Though the SRC is indepent  as regards the Prefectorial body, the two complement each other on matters concerning students. It is essentially an independent body itself.

The SRC representatives are elected from the boarding houses and classes (forms), as well as other specific groups like Day Students.

The Prefect’s council together with the SRC , constitute a link between the school administration and the student body.
