BRIEF ACCOUNT OF DEPARTMENT
It is one of the fast growing departments in the school. It used to be only one class for the groups but now it is four. This is so because the department is now attractive and delivering academically.
It produces on the average 100 students every year in which almost all of them get admission to the tertiary institutions. This is very remarkable.
It has a science resource centre, which is well equipped, and therefore students are not handicapped when it comes to practical.
The department can boast of most seasoned committed and dedicated teachers who are selfless and are prepared to help the girls realized their dreams and aspirations.

ACHIEVEMENTS
There has been a tremendous improvement of the science results over years and this is obvious as almost all the students get admission to tertiary institutions. This is further strengthened by the fact that most of our girls can be found in all the sectors of the economy.
Dr. Esther Ofom the organ best medical student in 2008 batch of KNUST medical school was one of our products.
PROBLEMS/CHALLENGES
Due to the increasing number of the girls offering science, the existing labs have become too small and therefore urgently need expansion. On the contrary, of a new one can be built, it will be in the right direction.
VISION
As the development of every nation is based on science and technology, it is our fervent image that, the department will contribute its quota by encouraging more of the girls to do science.
GOOD WILL MESSAGE
As the school celebrates its 50 years of existence, the department wishes to congratulate the forbearers for their foresight and fortitude and pray that the department will do all that it can for the school to achieve its objectives and goals in the coming years. Long live YAGSS, long live Adehye.
