Students Representative Council
The SRC of Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School consists of 14 members with the school prefect as the president. The slogan of the council is “for students, for truth, and for progress” The main objective of the SRC is to use the philosophy of non-violence but dialogue to solve any issue which affects the students. Again, the SRC ensures a constant flow of information between the students and the authorities of the school.
A major function of the council is to safeguard the welfare of students and help in the
organisation of ceremonies and programs as well as ensuring the maintenance of the
school’s protocol.
Many projects have been undertaken by the council. Mugs were bought to help in serving breakfast faster to enable students continue their lessons earlier than when it was short in supply. Again, the dining hall tables have been renovated.
Moreover, the presentation of awards to deserving students in various categories cannot be left unsaid. The council seeks to undertake some more projects equally beneficial to students in the near future. The SRC of Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Senior High School is composed of the under listed SRC members:
