YAGSHS Triumphs at Ashanti Regional Athletics Competition!
Yaa Asantewaa Girls' Senior High School (YAGSHS) has emerged victorious at the Ashanti Regional Senior High Schools Athletics Competition, showcasing exceptional talent and determination!
From February 13th to 14th, 2025, our athletes battled it out against 21 other schools from across the region, demonstrating their skill and dedication in a thrilling display of athleticism. The competition, which featured 12 track events and numerous field events, saw YAGSHS dominate, securing a remarkable first-place finish!
Competing within Zone 2, our girls displayed unparalleled prowess, clinching victory in an impressive 8 events. Their relentless spirit and unwavering focus propelled them to the top, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed their performance.
A special shoutout goes to our phenomenal athlete, Mensah Comfort, who further solidified her reputation as a force to be reckoned with. Comfort, already recognized as the number one Ashanti Regional under 15 fastest girl and the third Ghana National fastest girl with her bronze medal, delivered outstanding performances, contributing significantly to our school's success.
The entire YAGSHS community is bursting with pride as our athletes have qualified for the Super Zonal competition in grand style! This achievement is a testament to their hard work, dedication, and the exceptional coaching they received.
We now Set our sights on the Super Zonal competition, scheduled for February 27th and 28th, 2025. We are confident that our athletes will continue to shine and represent YAGSHS with excellence.
