LOCATION
Yaa Asantewaa Girls’ Senior High School is located about ten kilometres on the Kumasi – Sunyani highway, between Tanaso and Abuakwa, specifically on the left side of the road in that direction. The school shares borders to the north with AGRICARE LTD and ENGEN filling station, to the south with Atwima-Techiman, to the east with Supreme Saviour International School and Tanoso, and to the west with PARAMOUNT DISTILLERIES LTD. It is also interesting to note that the school is only one kilometer away from the University College of Education Kumasi Campus. (UCEW-K).
The main gate of the school is found approximately half way between the AGRICARE and PARAMOUNT portion of the road.
POPULATION
Yaa Asantewaa Girsl’s Senior Girls School has been an all-girls school since its inception. The student population lingers around 4,081 students, as of last academic year.
There are about 166 teaching and 97 non-teaching staff in the school.
