School Attendance & Classroom Block Guidelines

Students must attend all lessons punctually and be in school uniform.

All students must be present for all classes unless specific permission has been granted by either the Senior Housemistress or the Headmistress.

Students are permitted to use the rest room or otherwise move about the compound only during breaks between classes or with the express permission of a teacher. Loitering is strictly forbidden.

During free or library periods, students are expected to determine where they need to be to enable the best use of their time. In the absence of a teacher to grant permission to leave the room, they are to remain there for the entire free period or library period, and do some private studies.

At no time during classes or between classes is a student allowed to return to the dormitory or leave the classroom blocks unless specific permission is granted by a teacher.

All classroom assessments, particularly tests and examinations, are compulsory for all students. Students who refuse to write or feign illness in order to avoid tests or examinations will receive a zero (0) for that test or examination. Students who illegitimately miss a test or examination are responsible for making arrangements for a make-up test or examination. Students failing that responsibility will get a zero (0) for that test or examination.
